Lynne Cove leads Joseph Weld & Trimar Hospice and CancerCare Dorset Trust s bereavement support service with Margaret Flavell and Carol Austin. All three, being part time, value the help from and work with Joseph Weld & Trimar Hospice and CancerCare Dorset Trust bereavement trained volunteers.
Carol, Lynne or Margaret contact close carers whose loved ones have died whilst in the care of Joseph Weld & Trimar Hospice and CancerCare Dorset Trust. Many cope with their loss with the love and help of family and friends. Some, however, want support from someone outside their immediate circle.
Children can find the loss of a parent, grandparent or close family friend difficult. Our bereavement team can explain to parents how children cope with grief and help them to talk to their children about their feelings.
Bereavement support groups meet every month in various locations. People meet for a meal or a drink knowing that they are with people who will understand how they may be feeling.
