Who We Are

Joseph Weld & Trimar Hospice and CancerCare Dorset Trust is a registered charity, number 1000414. The charity operates as a company limited by guarantee whose directors are referred to as Trustees. All Trustees act in a voluntary capacity and give their time for free. They bring knowledge and skills to benefit the charity, for example, experience in business, the legal profession, in health and social services and in the financial field. They are ultimately responsible for the charity.

The Board currently has eight Trustees. It meets quarterly at minimum. The Director of Joseph Weld & Trimar Hospice and CancerCare Dorset Trust reports to the Board of Trustees and is responsible to the Chairman of Trustees.

Joseph Weld & Trimar Hospice and CancerCare Dorset Trust staff work very closely with General Practitioners, District Nurses, Joseph Weld Trimar, Salisbury and Yeovil hospices, hospital nurses and doctors and Marie Curie nurses to provide the best multidisciplinary care for patients and carers.
